Things needed
- Almond oil – ½ cup
- Coconut oil – ½ cup
- Beeswax – ¼ cup
- Shea Butter – 2 tablespoon
- Vitamin E oil – 1 tablespoon
- Essential oil – few drops
- Double boiler or a glass bowl and pan
- Container for storage
Steps
- Sterilize all the equipments to be used in this process since even a tiny amount of grime can affect the quality of hand cream.
- Mix together almond oil, beeswax and coconut oil in a double boiler or if it is not available heat a pan half filled with water and place a glass bowl inside it. Ensure that the flame is on simmer so as to not burn the oils. Mix the ingredients in the glass bowl.
- Bring the ingredients to a boil while occasionally stirring.
- Once the wax and oil are melted, pour Vitamin E oil and also add essential oils to the mix.
- Empty the contents into a mason jar and let it cool completely before starting to use. The cream can also be stacked in the fridge for faster cooling.
- This cream can be used to hydrate your arms, legs, nails and cuticles too. While using it rub some amount on elbow and knee also to soften them.
- Always remember to use a mason jar with dark outer cover so that the cream does not come in contact with sunlight which will adversely impact its effectiveness. The jar should be airtight too.

- Beeswax – 1 ½ tablespoon
- Shea Butter – 1 tablespoon
- Vitamin E oil – 1 teaspoon
- Aloe Vera gel – 1 gel
- Essential oil – few drops
- Double boiler or a glass bowl and pan
- Mason jars for storage
Steps
- Always thoroughly clean and sterilize your equipment before making any skin care product at home.
- Add beeswax and Shea Butter to the double boiler and start mixing them by stirring occasionally. If double boiler is not available use a glass bowl and pan as explained in the above procedure.
- Once the ingredients have melted and combined uniformly transfer them into a mason jar to cool completely.
- The cooled mixture has to be blended in an immersion blender. Aloe Vera gel and Vitamin E should be added slowly to the combination. Keep on blending until all the ingredients are combined together. Add essential oil at last and switch off the blended when everything comes together with no formation of bubbles.
- Pour the cream into a mason jar and store in fridge for several weeks before using.
